After graduation, he moved back to Portland to take employment with a nationally recognized bank overseeing areas of both branch and credit card administration state wide.
In 1982, Jim left the bank to pursue a career in insurance and financial planning. Since his founding of Green Line NW, LLC, he has helped hundreds of clients and operates three offices in the greater Portland Metro Area – Milwaukie, Gresham, and Beaverton. We attribute our growth to two factors: our personal approach to each client and client satisfaction. The belief of the Green Line NW, LLC team is to provide a sound, holistic financial plan for retirement, which should include well-defined strategies to address such risks as longevity, market volatility, and unexpected illness.
At Green Line NW, LLC, we are focused on three tenets that help lead to a sound retirement:
1. Safety first. Focus on protecting your principal.
2. Reasonable rate of return. Achieve reasonable rate of return while preserving principal.
3. Simplicity. Eliminate as much confusion as possible in planning a financial future.
Green Line NW, LLC offers a variety of educational events to keep our clients aware of changing trends. We also encourage giving back to our community by hosting charitable events.
These principles have consistently ranked Jim in the top 1% of financial service professionals. Jim is a proud member of the National Ethics Association, a membership organization of financial and insurance professionals who have successfully passed a comprehensive series of background checks and have agreed to maintain NEA membership standards.
Jim and his wife, Trina, were married in September of 2000 and live in the same home where they raised their two children, Jennifer and Walter. Jennifer has blessed them with grandchildren Calvin, Curtis, Cameron, and the princess Alyssa. The year 2020 was not all bad- Walter and his wife Whitney added baby June into their lives.
“Between the help I provide my clients and community, Trina, my best friend and love of my life, my children and grandchildren, I am blessed with an active, happy, and content life.”
